The Venture Hotel
The Austin Venture Association hosted “The Venture Hotel”, an end-of-summer soirée on August 11, 2022. We presented this unique experience in the Austin premier luxury hotel, Hotel Ella, for an evening where history fuses with future. Cohosting the experience with us was Peter Rex’s Rex Tech Ventures, who are also new owners of the stunning hotel. Hotel Ella had also recently been in the news about undergoing it's own exciting physical transformation as well as digital transformation in ownership as mentioned here and here.
Venture Hotel was a private event by invitation only via Austin Venture Association’s Leadership team and Rex, and was the place to be for 250 guests for top investors, venture-backed founders, and other leaders in our community.
Our partners co-creating the evening were Ferrari Austin who provided VIP Ferrari gift bags; ATX Venture Drone, In Good Taste wines, a hyper growth Austin investor-backed wine startup; Blue Norther, a Texas brand, award-winning spiked seltzer; and Luna Bay Booch, a booch (kombucha) that’s a little boozy. We specifically invited founders from these up-and-coming businesses as they are raising their next round. The Venture Hotel was a great chance to casually chat with them about their growth.
We also had the honor of having with us, former Austin mayor, former Senator, and 2022 Austin mayoral candidate, Kirk Watson, in attendance. Our guests were excited to take pictures with him and hear him say a few words.
